Plumbing Technology                                              

    The Building Trades Department has five vocational programs available for those interested in pursuing a one-year certificate or a two-year certificate. We offer the following programs: Carpentry Technology, Electrical Technology, Heating, Air Conditioning, & Refrigeration, *New for Fall 2007 -- Plumbing Technology and Welding. Below is one of the five programs we have to offer, the number of classes required to complete the one-year certificate and information on the upcoming Fall 2007 schedule.

PLUMBING TECHNOLOGY – *NEW PROGRAM STARTING THIS FALL 2007

    The Plumbing Technology is a one-year certificate program that provides students with a working knowledge in the field. The courses are intended for beginners in the plumbing field as well as students that have some plumbing skills and want to improve in all respective areas of training required in this trade. The Plumbing procedures taught in the courses are the ones commonly used in today’s plumbing industry. These are plumbing maintenance and repair, pipefitting, back-flow prevention, residential construction, and commercial plumbing. Students will be awarded a certificate upon satisfactory completion of all program competencies.
