LCC men’s tennis team receives accolades from city council
Laredo Mayor Raul Salinas and the City Council recognized the Laredo Community College men’s tennis team during their meeting at City Hall on Monday, May 18. The team received accolades for keeping the NJCAA men’s tennis championship title in the Gateway City for the fifth straight year. On hand for the recognition were, from left, LCC President Dr. Juan L. Maldonado, athletic director Troy Van Brunt, head tennis coach Jaime Donjuan, Leury Arias, Kinesiology Department chair Dr. Sara Carrasco, Mateus Campos, councilwoman Cindy Liendo Espinoza, assistant coach Henry Estrella, Moacir Santos, councilman Gene Belmares, Cledson Carvalho, councilman Johnny Rendon, Mayor Salinas, Jose Carlos Tolentino, councilman Juan Narvaez, councilman Hector Garcia, Luis Campos, councilman Michael Landeck, Joao Oliveira and councilman Mike Garza.
