LCC sets baseball tryouts for June 19
Recent high school graduates who are motivated to play intercollegiate baseball are invited to try out for a position with the Laredo Community College men’s baseball team Saturday, June 19, at the LCC Doc Sanchez Baseball Field.
Registration is at 8:30 a.m. Tryouts begin immediately afterwards.
Chase Tidwell, recently named the new head baseball coach for the Palominos, says recruits can showcase their skills in the 60 yard dash, outfield play, infield play, catching drills, hitting and pitching.
Participants should bring equipment, including bats, gloves, catching gear, spikes and baseball pants. LCC will provide helmets and baseballs.
